Hey Focus Fit Fam!
How are you doing? Feeling tired? Burnt out? Low on motivation? Ready for a fresh start? Let us help you.
This past year was tough, to say the least. Tough on our bodies, mentally and physically. And 2021 hasn’t managed to let up. Whether you had COVID or not, the bounce-back from this past year is a tough one! I am right here with you and we will push through together. Here are some tips to help with a fresh start to a NEW you!!
Wake up earlier! – We all love our sleep but too much of it can actually cause you to be more tired during the day. Decide on a time that works best for you, set the alarm, and GET UP! You’re not going to want to. You’re gonna want to hit snooze, because “Why? Why do I really need to get up this early?” FOR YOU! Once you’re up you’ll feel better, you’ll have enough time to do those things you put off before bed. Or even sit, have some coffee, watch the news, and relax before you start the day. Having this extra time will leave you less rushed and less stressed throughout your day.
Be more mindful! – Whatever this means to you. Whether that means to pray more, meditate more, or simply just think through your decisions more. To me, this means to take a second before I do something and ask myself “How does this impact me? Why am I doing this?” Do things that make a more positive impact on your life. Focus on how you can become the better you and then make decisions that will help drive you!
Use your gym membership! – Look, you pay for it. Use it! Our bodies took a huge hit this past year. Getting back in the gym has so many benefits, and I know you’ve heard this before, but it’s true! Exercise will boost your immunity (we need all the immunity we can get right now), give you more energy, and release endorphins (the happy chemical)! I know, it’s tough. Get yourself to the gym. Even if you only walk on the treadmill for 20 minutes. Do it. It’s better than sitting at home doing nothing. Be mindful of your body. It will tell you what it needs. Each time you go, increase your activity just a little bit more. Go from 20 minutes on the treadmill to 30 or maybe try adding in some weights. We can show you how! The more you do this the easier it will get.
Get up, be mindful, put in the effort, and feel better. We’re here to help, you’re not doing it alone.
